Professional Growing Information 
I was excited to have something bright for a shady spot, but these do not grow in full shade and have quite limited growth in part shade. They don't die, but they don't grow and definitely don't thrive. They also seem to be easily susceptible to leaf spot. I'm moving them to a sunnier location and hoping it will help.

Maintenance Notes:The best red color appears on one and two year old stems; older stems will turn corky and brown. To maintain a colorful display, you can do one of two things: one, cut the whole plant back to short stubs every other year. Two, cut out one-third of the oldest stems every year. This option is recommended if you planted your Arctic Fire® dogwood to provide coverage. Early spring is the best time to prune.
If desired, apply a granular fertilizer formulated for trees and shrubs at pruning time.

Excellent addition to a draft of red osier cornus. Can't figure out why this variety isn't more popular! Four season interest, great for wildlife and pollinators alike. I'm currently trying to find a second one and a place to put it!

I planted these last summer. They experienced some Winter rabbit damage (but nearly all my shrubs do) and mild winter dieback but are coming back. They’re still small, but the stem color is fantastic! I’d buy again.

This plant bloomed great even though it is a little leggy it produced berries that attracted Eastern Bluebirds and Robins and Cedar Waxwings to them that I got to enjoy for all summer. The fall interest is great. I will plant more.
