Andre van Nijnatten, the breeder of ‘Winter Flame’, brings us another special Cornus with beautiful yellow stems tipped with red. It’s a spectacular show in the winter sunlight. This variety is dwarf in form, reaching a height of 3 to 4 feet. Cornus usually reach a height of 8 to 10 feet, making Arctic Sun™ a great breakthrough for smaller gardens or residential landscapes.

This wonderful shrub will add sensational color in the fall with its golden yellow and peachy orange foliage. It is extremely beautiful in the winter with its yellow stems with red tips. Bring the outdoors in and use Arctic Sun™ as a cut stem for holiday arrangements or for season long color indoors.

Growing Tips

Prefers well-drained, moist soil Prune immediately after flowering. Sets flower buds in summer for the next season's blooms. Do not prune in early spring or late fall. Prefers medium moisture. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.
