Professional Growing Information I planted Exochorda ‘Snow Day Surprise’ as a foundation planting in areas on the west and east facing sides of our house in zone 7. So far it has been semi-evergreen (a boon!) and blooming nicely this first spring. I had the old prostrate exochorda and this growth habit is far preferable. I love the snow while blooms and the fresh green foliage as do the rabbits. We had to put some screen around the bases last fall to prevent nibbling. Definitely happy that I made this choice.
