    Uses Notes:

Use in containers and landscapes.  Great when planted in masses and an excellent plant for combinations as well.

    Maintenance Notes:

These plants are versatile working in both sun or shade, which makes them a wonderful unifying plant to use in both sun and shade beds.  Unlike older begonias, these are quite vigorous.  They can tolerate some drought conditions, but will look their best with more consistent moisture and regular feeding. They love the heat and do not need to be deadheaded to bloom all summer long.  What's not to love!

    • I received my two plants this spring season '23 and already despite the cold spring this year, the plants took hold and are growing well..since the weather has warmed up some, the plants continue to perform..No deadheading is necessary . The seem to almost take care of themselves. I was amazed at the shine on these leaves..the glossiness is reflecting sunlight brilliantly..didnt quite expect that but Ill take it..Im predicting that they will continue to do well. I recommend this cultivar very highly.

    • This was a disappointment this summer. Zone 9b part shade, didn't do much. At some point it finally got established. Maybe it doesn't like 108*? This fall as it has cooled the plant became a red beacon about 2 feet tall and shinny. It looks good with deep red snapdragons and white creeping daises. It will need frost protection and I am wondering if a frost blanket will be enough? Regardless, I will grow more of these next summer in my low bowls so I can plant them out in fall. I like the leaf color of the red better than the rose.

    • These begonia's performed wonderfully in pots. They grew at least 2 feet tall and nearly swallowed up the Cordiline spikes I had as the thriller. They could be the thriller in pots by themselves. They have very sturdy stems and just as the description states, they did not need dead heading. The only cons I see with this plant is that it drops some of the flower petals with a strong wind creating small messes and the stems tend to grow wildly in different directions.
