This poor plant is struggling in my yard. I gave it a single star because even though it has access to full sun, and I am watering it A LOT once a day, it shrivels up by the time I get home. However, it's a beautiful little plant. I would buy it again simply because it is so cute and attractive.
I have it in a 24 inch container with an ornamental pepper plant, and two celosia plants. The ornamental pepper plant is perfectly happy, and the celosias get a tiny bit wilted if I don't water them every 18 hours, but my poor goldilocks start to get crunchy if I don't water them every 12 hours. (I have 2 in the pot).
It's very unmanageable. I bought this plant at a local plant store (not a big box store) so I assumed that it would be ok, even though I live in USDA zone 7a. We haven't had temperatures higher than 98 since I bought the plant 5 days ago. So I'm disappointed that it isn't hardier. But I haven't given up on it yet. I'll try watering it twice a day to see if that helps. It could be that the other plants are stealing water from it. Who knows.
