Hardy Zones

Zones are based on the lowest average temperature an area is expected to receive during the winter. They are used to determine whether a plant is likely to be perennial in your area. If your zone is equal to or higher than the zone listed for the plant, it will be hardy for you and thrive in your climate.

    Features

    A sophisticated landscape plant.

Infinitini® White crapemyrtle is the perfect plant for a dash of cooling greenery in the landscape. Every summer, it's covered with crisp white blooms, which continue through frost. Like the other plants in the Infinitini®series, this is a low growing dwarf variety, which opens up lots of possibilities for planting in landscapes and gardens. Here in our west Michigan trial gardens (USDA zone 6a), we can grow Infinitini crapemyrtles in the ground with no problems. In harsh winters, they may die back to the ground, but they sprout right back up in spring and bloom beautifully in summer. Available in better garden centers in spring 2019.

Top reasons to grow Infinitini® White crapemyrtle:

    - Crisp white summer blooms.

    - Dwarf habit makes it a versatile plant.

    - Enjoy even in USDA zone 6.

    Maintenance Notes:

Crapemyrtle is so popular because it does so much while requiring so little work. Mulch is beneficial. If you live in the colder end of its hardiness range, the plant may die back to the ground in winter, but it will resprout from the roots. Avoid pruning until the plant shows signs of life.

In other areas, pruning is not required, but the plant may be trimmed or pruned in early spring if desired.

    Fun Facts:

Look closely at an individual flower of crapemyrtle - they're amazingly intricate and complex!
