Truly tasty fruit in your own backyard!
Yezberry® Japanese haskaps are an easy-to-grow, super delicious fruit for everyone. Yellow flowers appear very early in spring (we'll bet it's the first thing to bloom in your yard each year) and give way to plump blue fruits in early summer. Berries are sweet enough to eat straight from the stems, or can be made into sauce, jam, or desserts. This tough shrub grows well in sun or part shade, and isn't fussy about soil: any type and even any pH level will do. Yezberry haskaps are extremely cold tolerant. Yezberry® Solo will bear fruit without a pollinator, but gets larger and more numerous berries when planted alongside another Yezberry® Japanese haskap variety.

Maintenance Notes:Plant so that each shrub gets plenty of air and sunshine to ensure best growth and pollination for fruit set. If plant needs pruning, do so after harvesting the fruit. Harvest fruit shortly after it turns from green to blue; taste one for sweetness first and if it is on the sour side, give it a few more days on the vine before harvesting.
Fun Facts:Yezberry® Japanese haskaps are closely related to best-selling Sugar Mountain® sweetberry honeysuckle. However, the Yezberry series was developed from purely Japanese strains of haskap, while the Sugar Mountain series is of Russian heritage. Other differences: Yezberry haskaps bloom a bit later, so they're a good choice for areas that get frequent spring frosts. Yezberry fruits are plumper and rounder than Sugar Mountain fruits, but both are equally tasty and heavy-bearing when it comes to harvest time.
