I bought 4 of these plants in the fall of 2019 to make a nice hedge...planted them in a full sun location and well amended soil. They made it through that winter (I'm in zone 5) but they struggled all year!! They didn't put on any growth, the leaves looked like they were brown and eaten and diseased. They did get some flowers but didn't do as well as I expected. 3/4 plants made it through the following winter and looked like they were struggling stull. So I took them out and planted 2 in separate flower beds and one in a pot to see where they might do well. Unfortunately they are still struggling...and not blooming very many flowers. I did fertilize them when planting and at the beginning of the season. I don't understand what is going on with them because I also purchased an Oso Easy Italian Ice and it is doing wonderful! Looks healthy and blooming so well. I'm not sure if there is anything you can suggest? I'm so disappointed in this rose...Unfortunately if it doesn't perk up by the end of this season I will be pulling it out.

Still think yellow roses are tough to grow? Not this rebel!
We evaluated yellow roses for years, looking for one that lived up to our demands for brilliant color and excellent disease-resistance. This is it! Sunny, canary yellow flowers do not fade to white, and really light up against the glossy green foliage. It is free-flowering, producing lots of buds which open to self-cleaning flowers. Superior disease-resistance makes it easy for gardeners to enjoy. Winner of an Award of Excellence from the American Rose Society.

I bought a pint size of this plant this spring and it bloomed all summer and beyond. It currently has 3 roses on it and it's DECEMBER in New York! Amazing roses!

Gorgeous color that doesn't fade like other yellow roses. Crown hardy in Zone 4, generally a very nice plant habit without stems getting too asymmetrical. Generally very healthy. The flowers shatter a little bit fast, but there typically are always some on this plant. It is an amazing improvement in yellow landscape shrub roses!!!!

Not only is this rose the color of a lemon, its fragrance is the beautiful , delicate smell of lemon zest. You failed to mention this in your description. Maintenance of this rose is comparable to the knock out variety.
