To train the plant upward, follow these 4 easy steps.

1. Get a few bamboo stakes.
2. Get a few plant ties.
3. Put the stake next to the branch and gently bend the branch upward, secure the branch to the stake.
4. Take off a few of the leaves closest to the ground to get a trunk-like look started.
