I discovered the Japanese painted fern last year. Bought 6. Love how they turned out so went to get more and discovered a lot of hybrid choices. Now own red beauty, ghost, lady in red, Godzilla, autumn and Jurassic golden AND of course the crested surf. Have 3. We live in a wooded area. Have lots of hostas but am switching to the ferns. The crested surf is easy to raise and has a slight twist to their leaves and their signature crest on end of leaf. Brand new for2020.Love it!
