I purchased 8 of these from a local nursery, 5 died shortly after planting. To replace those 5 I ordered directly from PW. One of those five and two more of the original 8 have now died as well. Of 13 total plants purchased and planted 8 bloomed then died and only 5 remain. There are other dianthus planted in the same area, next to these, which are doing fantastically. Not sure how many will survive to winter much less come back next year. I would love to have the dynamic splash of red in this bed but if they always die then I will make do with something else. If all 5 come back next year and are healthy I'll consider replanting the same, if not then moving on to the next option.

This is the first year I planted Maraschino Dianthus and, so far, I love them. They stand out with a deep red colored flower and have bloomed for 1 month, so far. I am buying more now.
