My Lil' Kim (Antong Two) rose of sharon was supposed to be a dwarf with a height of three feet according to your tag on the plant. It is now (after six years) over eight feet tall. I am very disappointed in it. What is the proper way to prune it?
The optimum amount of sun or shade each plant needs to thrive: Full Sun (6+ hours), Part Sun (4-6 hours), Full Shade (up to 4 hours).
This plant is hardy in zones 5 - 9
Zones are based on the lowest average temperature an area is expected to receive during the winter. They are used to determine whether a plant is likely to be perennial in your area. If your zone is equal to or higher than the zone listed for the plant, it will be hardy for you and thrive in your climate.

Best if planted in well drained soil. Does not like to be extremely wet or dry. Prune in late winter or early spring and apply a shrub fertilizer in early spring for the best show of flowers. Has moderate growth habit.Lil' Kim® Hibiscus syriacus 'Antong Two' USPP 19,547, Can 3,399
