Love this plant. Have grown this in annual pots several times. I will put it in the ground to see how it does, as it is a perennial. Have loved it in my pots. Unique and decorative.

Maintenance Notes:Despite a preference for abundant moisture, soft rush will perform surprisingly well in average garden soils as long as they receive consistent irrigation. Clumps are often slow to establish, but once established will spread by creeping rhizomes. Soft rush may be grown in tubs or containers sunk in the mud to control unwanted rhizome spread. Plants will also naturalize by self-seeding. In cold climates, clumps die to the ground in winter. Cut back old foliage in early spring

I found this plant last year and built a planter around him because it was so fun looking! I wish I had more planters in the sun in which to use more of them! Rich green curlies that demanded attention but didn't overwhelm the other plantings. I hope it survives the negative temps right now but, if not, I'll buy another!

I love the unusual look of this plant and get many comments about it. I planted it this year and it is thriving. In fact it's more than tripled in size. It loves rich organic soil and lots of water. I watered it almost every day this summer. I also feed It every other week with Miracle Gro.

This is the most unusual plant I have EVER seen! I love it. I have heard "what is that?" from everyone who comes to see me, as it draws much attention.

Such a fun plant. I lost some in the heat as they got too much sun. I found them a couple years ago, and added more last year. I am gradually figuring out the best places they will thrive in my yard. They survive even the cat sleeping in them. I enjoy this one a lot...
