    • I love this flower. It is very beautiful but very finicky and delicate. This definitely needs to be in the shade and watered daily, do not miss a watering or they will dry up within hours. I will be trying these again next year, in the shade with lots of water.

Marginally Adequate Performed below expectations but may be willing to try again.
    • The Catalina was beautiful for about a month or so then it stopped blooming & growing. I''ve tried different light exposures, fertilize regularly and water when dry. Any ideas? Same problem a couple of years ago.

    • It surprised me. It quickly grows. Lush color, lots of blooms, and loves the shady place it now dwells. I couldn't be happier with this plant. Its a must have for my garden!

Above Average Superior performance, among my favorites, would recommend to others.
    • I grew this plant last year on my balcony, which has northeast exposure. It performed amazingly well, disease-free, any special care-free, blooming all the time, from late June to late November. It was a real joy for my eyes!

    • Very easy to grow. Mine are planted the front an aloe garden to provide a colorful accent to the deep green of the aloe. They face west and are under and in the shade of to large laurel oaks.

    • I loved this plant! However, you state that dead heading may be unnecessary, I disagree. When planted in a planter it definitely looks better when regularly dead headed. When dead heading is not performed, the spent petals stick to the underlying leaves making for an unattractive look. I also took the plant up onto my porch when it rained, because the rain caused the petals to stick to the underlying leaves and fade quicker than when kept dry. I did not mind performing the deadheading. I bought this plant in May and it performed well through late September. There were many blooms all throughout the growing period. I needed a plant near my side entrance, which does not get much sun, and this plant was perfect for it. I will definitely buy this plant again next year.

    • Bought this the end of last summer to replace some plants the deer had eaten. It was a shady spot under a tree in a pot. Plant thrived for the rest of the season- deer left it alone and it kept on blooming! LOVE it!

    • I like the color and the way it looks. It last a long time and think it is a very pretty flower and the birds like it.
