Hello!™ Gerbera

No pinching and no pgr necessary.
Treat with a broad-spectrum fungicide at transplant. Good air circulation is key to healthy plant growth. White fly, aphids, thrips, spider mites, cyclamen mites and leaf miners can be problematic. Scout aggressively and treat as needed. Do not allow populations to get out of control before treating the crop. Powdery mildew is less problematic in Hello! than other gerbera, but scout and treat as necessary. Good sanitation practices include keeping greenhouses clean at all times, eliminating weeds and debris, disinfecting equipment in greenhouses as often as possible and keeping hose ends off of the greenhouse floor. Good water management practices are critical for good, healthy plant growth.
-Do NOT allow plants to dry to wilt stage. Dry-down will result in highly increased susceptibility to disease. Spider mites and thrips as well as root rot (phytophthora) are the primary concerns. -Proper air circulation will decrease disease pressure. -Best flowering and plant quality is under full sun conditions. Proper spacing of plant material so that plenty of light reaches the crown will promote flowering.
