There are dishes in the sink and a pile of laundry on the bathroom floor, but I’ll tell you what... my front pots look amazing! Maybe we could pull up some lawn chairs, order some pizza and celebrate those pots for being so gorgeous tonight and not talk about how I ran out of dish soap, toilet paper AND milk today.
Did you notice how nice my window boxes look? And ah, yes. I weeded those beds. You could eat off them they are so weed-free. In fact, we may need to eat off them very soon if I don’t attend to the dishes in the sink.
What’s that? The baby’s diaper needs to be changed? Your hands aren't broken. Can’t you see I’m elbow deep in potting mix? Didn't you notice my giant smile?
I can’t keep all the plates spinning, I’m not even trying anymore. I’m thankful for the friends and family that just know that I’ve got priorities this time of year. And that I spend the rest of the year daydreaming about those priorities. #MyProvenWinners are the people that like me, despite my garden fever. Idea via Mommy Shorts
But here’s the skinny (and I use that word sooooooooo INFREQUENTLY!): My Proven Winners plants are prettier, tougher, bloomier and more drought resistant. Seriously, have you grown Diamond Frost® Euphorbia, 'Limelight' Hydrangea, Superbells® Tequila Sunrise Calibrachoa? Gorgeous and indestructible. In the end, I am saving time by not needing to deadhead or water them. What do I do with that extra time? I shower. Which is good news, all around.
