Hi, I've been using Verbena Tukana Scarlet in my combos. It is a very nice verbena. I am guessing Tukana Scarlet and Scarlet Star are interchangeable? I've been using some of your Royale series which are also quite beautiful. I see your SB Royale Red. Would you try that one in some of these combinations that call for Tukana Scarlet or would you stick with T. Scarlet?

I have consulted with our grower on this one! Here is what he said:

1.       I believe that Superbena Royale Red is an improvement over Tukana Scarlet. It is a stronger plant and a better branching plant than T Scarlet. The vigor is about the same for these two plants.
2.       Tukana Scarlet Star is also a nice plant. It is an even better branching plant, the white eye is appealing to many people, and the shape-habit-form-vigor of this plant is often more desirable than that of Tukana Scarlet.
If the grower is looking for a little better habit and plant presentation in combo’s and only wanted to try one of the two options I would suggest Tukana Scarlet Star as a good plant to give a look at.

I made this basket in a silver bucket I have. I had to substitute the Tukana Scarlet Star for Tukana Raspberry but it still turned out very pretty.
