Here is a gem of an Anthurium, sure to dazzle you with its opulent foliage. ‘Alexandrite is Right’ has heart-shaped leaves that transition from ruby red to emerald green, much like its namesake gemstone—Alexandrite. Intricate, silvery-veining on each leaf mirrors the facets of a finely-cut alexandrite. Like other Anthuriums, ‘Alexandrite is Right’ has leaves so smooth & cool to touch, you will feel as though you are caressing a polished stone. Therefore, if it is a living jewel you are looking to add to your collection, then ‘Alexandrite is Right!’

    Maintenance Notes:
    • For optimal performance, keep your Anthurium at 60-85°F (15-29°C).
    • Anthuriums perform best in bright, indirect light or filtered sunlight. Place your Anthurium in a bright window with other plants nearby, or sheer curtains to filter the sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves. Anthuriums will tolerate lower light conditions, but will not flourish or grow as prolifically.
    • Anthuriums appreciate high humidity (60-80%), so feel free to mist them regularly or use a humidifier.
    • Anthuriums prefer to be consistently moist, but not wet, and they need to have good drainage. As such, water your Anthurium thoroughly when the top 1-2 inches of soil feels dry. Ensure good drainage and do not allow your Anthurium to sit in water for extended periods of time.
    • Feed your Anthurium once per month at half strength when it is actively growing. Reduce frequency of fertilization in the winter months. If no new leaves are growing, it does not need to be fertilized.
    • Protect furniture when watering & fertilizing.
    • When repotting your Anthurium, use an all-purpose potting mix, with additional orchid bark and perlite added, to ensure your Anthurium has good drainage and plenty of nutrients.
