Professional Growing Information 
I bought two of these plants this year and planted them in my full sun containers because that is what the tag says to do. They were looking pretty bad so I looked up information on this page and it says they should be planted in shade to part shade. I moved them but now I have two planters that look bare because they are missing plants. I found it interesting that a review on here from nine years ago addressed the same problem. I called Proven Winners and they did refund some of my money but stated that there are still labels with the wrong description in circulation. Too bad they are so slow to react to customer feedback.

Maintenance Notes:Many people feel that coleus look best before they flower. To keep foliage in top shape, pinch off the blooms as they appear if you wish.
General Rules for Overwintering Plants Indoors:
1. Choose only healthy plants
2. Bring Plants indoors before frost damages foliage
3. Treat for disease and insects before bringing plants indoors
4. Place in bright areas and add humidity using pebble trays or spray bottles
5. Be careful not to over water
6 When active growth starts in spring fertilize and prune as needed
7. Introduce your plants slowly to outdoor conditions in spring

Not the most vigorous coleus but can grow very large with age. Zone 9b this is a shade plant. I grew it last summer and stuck it in my cold greenhouse last winter. It was pitiful and threatened to die. The same plant in the same old soil got big this summer, fell over and got big again and again a third time. Too pretty to trim. Each mound is a different combination of bright pink, green and cream depending on age and light. I am waiting to the last minute to save it again. It is November, still beautiful and too large and brittle to move. It has a woody trunk under there somewhere. I have never had a more colorful coleus. PW usually out preform.

I have tried this plant for two years. I have planted it in two containers on each side of my back steps that face the west. I live in zone 5b. The one that is in more sun is drooping & the leaves are faded, washed out looking. The other looks fine. I think the label should be changed to pt shade/shade. I thought maybe I received a inferior plant last year and was willing to try it again. I got the same results...very disappointing.

Was disappointed with the performance. Did not grow well for me. Ended up transferring out but am willing to try again in the future.
