*All pink potentilla lose their color during periods of high temperatures. It's normal, and the color will return when temperatures and particularly night time temperatures are cooler. Even a temporary period of hot temperatures (such as during shipping) can cause the fading to occur, and any buds that were developing during that period will also show lighter color.
