General pest and disease practices as listed in notes. Whiteflies can be a problem if good control measures are not practiced. Under high humidity and low air movement conditions powdery mildew can develop.
Grower Tips:
-Plant the liners with leaves pointed outside of the pot as the flowers will point the same way as the leaves.
To avoid plants forming tubers and going dormant maintain temperatures above 60 degrees and provide either daylength extension or night interruption lighting until natural daylength is 12 hours or more.
