Flamenco Cuphea
Late Spring to Summer Finish. Standard ppp.
Pinch once, soft, two weeks after liner planting. Second pinch recommended for shaping. B-9 can be used at 1,500 to 2,500 ppm, two weeks after pinching. Bonzi is also effective.
General pest and disease practices as listed in notes. Watch for aphids, whiteflies, and thrips. A preventative drench with a systemic pesticide is recommended to control aphids.
Avoid over watering especially early in the crop cycle. Plants can be run a little dry but should not be dried to the point of wilt. Wilting will cause leaf burn.
Under low light and high humidity conditions oedema can be problematic.
