Pericallis
Fall through Spring. Standard PPP.
Soft-pinch plants 1 to 2 weeks after planting when new growth is observed, removing about 1/2-inch of tip growth.
Height control is less necessary in early season. Cool temperatures and a small negative DIF will generally be sufficient. When growing at warmer times of the year stretch can be a problem. 2500 ppm B-Nine spray at visible bud stage will help control this stretch.
Aphids, whiteflies, leaf miners, spider mites, and thrips can be problem insects.
Botrytis, Powdery Mildew, Downey Mildew, Pythium, and Phytopthera can be a problem.
