Is Glitter a Color?
I have a really easy and cool looking winter plant-y craft for you. All I did was stop at the craft store and pick up a 6"x18" cylinder-shaped glass vase and a dollar's worth of white paint. I squirted the white paint inside the bottom of the vase and added just a little bit of water to dilute it. Then I swirled it around in a not-so-perfect manner so that the bottom 6" of the vase now looks a white snow-drifty wonderland.
Okay, "wonderland" is a strong word.
Now I can drop ColorBlaze® Velvet Mocha™ Coleus, still in its Proven Winners pot, right down the cylinder (once the paint is dry) then dump a metric TON of glitter on it to work as mulch to hide the pot and add a little extra festive bling-age to the leaves. But I could have taken it an extra step and wired tiny ornaments or garland on ColorBlaze® Alligator Tears ™ Coleus before dropping it down the chute and dusting it with glitter. This, in theory, is a terrarium. I think.
OR I could have bought a trio of 6" diameter cylinder vases in varying heights and used 3 coleus that look STELLAR together, like the 2 mentioned above and a little dash of ColorBlaze® LifeLime Coleus and used the same glitter and decor so they looked fab on my hearth.
But why use all my tricks this year? I think I'll leave something up my sleeve for the year I DON'T have a 19-month old baby playing Godzilla all up on my holiday decor.
So, trio of festive holiday ColorBlaze™ Coleus terrariums? We have a date next year!
