Hands down, this is the best blue salvia I have grown (and I have tried many varieties.) Mystic Spires blooms profusely, starting long before salvias such as Black & Blue have even begun, and continuing into the late fall. It attracts pollinators but I've never seen it damaged by harmful insects. My only negative? I have great difficulty finding a source for this plant! I'd love to see it available, far and wide, of course grown without harmful pesticides!

I planted this variety in a large pot with yellow French Marigolds and they are doing beautifully. First time trying them out, and am very pleased with performance and bloom. Does not fade in the sun, remains vivid blue. Attracts hummingbirds, bees, and a few butterflies.CynthiaSan DiegoCaliforniaUnited States1 year ago
I've tried growing plenty of different salvia varieties down here in South Texas. Many require little care, while others just can't handle the extreme heat & humidity. This particular variety does wonderfully, with such little care. This plant literally flowered all year for me last year. So far, it's on track to outdo that! I've added two new plants to my garden, grown in full sun, and receive regular compliments on them. This plant will ALWAYS have a spot in my garden!JoshuaRio HondoTexasUnited States1 year ago
